<\/p>\nFireFox Gold Corp. (TSXV:FFOX,OTC:FFOXF)(OTCQB:FFOXF) has announced the first results from its 2025 drilling program at the Sarvi gold project in Lapland, Finland. The company is pleased to report a high-grade gold intercept of 27.48 g\/t Au over 1.75 meters, including 0.8 meters at 53.50 g\/t gold, in drill hole 25SA003. This significant discovery was made at the western end of the company’s 100%-held Sarvi project, which shares an 8-kilometre southern tenement boundary with Rupert Resources’ Area 1 Project, hosting the Ikkari gold deposit.<\/p>\n
The drill program targeted a new area at the western end of the Sarvi project, where the company’s technical team identified a key structure with high-grade gold potential. The drilling was designed to test the structural-magnetic corridor, and the results have confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralization in the area. The high-grade interval in 25SA003 was hosted in a 3.2-metre-thick sulphide-rich breccia zone, which included patchy arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite. The company’s geologists logged a 5-cm thick arsenopyrite vein at the top of the massive sulphide interval, associated with the highest-grade gold, silver, arsenic, bismuth, and tellurium.<\/p>\n
The Sarvi project is located in the Kittil\u00e4 Suite of volcanic rocks, which is known to host the gold mineralization at Agnico Eagle’s Kittil\u00e4 Gold Mine, Europe’s largest gold mine. The project area has limited outcrop, but the company has advanced its geological understanding through a compilation of detailed magnetics from drone-based and ground surveys, combined with almost 1,600 base-of-till (BoT) samples and a total of 2938.8 metres of drilling. The company initiated systematic exploration in 2022 with BoT sampling and detailed magnetics surveys, followed by a small drill program in 2023 that encountered anomalous gold and copper-silver dominant mineralization.<\/p>\n
The current drill program included five shallow diamond core holes, totaling 887 metres, on the Keulakko permit at the west end of the project. The results from holes 25SA001 and 25SA003 have been reported, with 25SA003 returning the high-grade gold intercept. The company expects to receive assays and conclude logging of additional drill holes in the area soon, which will provide further insight into the geology of the target.<\/p>\n
The drill results are presented in Table 1, which shows the selected intercepts in drillholes 25SA001 and 25SA003. The results include a 2.0-metre interval averaging 2.87 g\/t Au in 25SA003, as well as the high-grade interval of 1.75 metres averaging 27.48 g\/t Au. The company’s QA\/QC program included the insertion of certified standard material and blanks, which did not show deviations from recommended values.<\/p>\n
The core was transported from the rig to the company’s core storage facility in Sodankyl\u00e4, where FireFox’s exploration team conducted the geological and geotechnical logging and selected the assay intervals. The samples were shipped to ALS Laboratories for gold by fire assay of 50 gm aliquots with AAS finish (method Au-AA26). ALS Laboratories is a leading international provider of assay and analytical data to the mining industry, and all ALS geochemical hub laboratories are accredited to ISO\/IEC 17025:2017 for specific analytical procedures.<\/p>\n
